The 19-year-old left-arm spinner has emerged as one of Australian cricket's most promising talents, having enjoyed a rapid rise. Agar remarkably made his Test debut in the first Ashes Test in July, less than six months after making his first-class debut for Western Australia. Agar, who hasn't played for the Perth Scorchers yet, played seven matches for WA in both competitions during the second-half of the 2012-13 season, taking 24 wickets and making 223 handy runs. The youngster's form led to him taking part as a net bowler in Australia's tour of India, before breaking through during the Ashes, where he made a world record 98 on debut batting at number 11 and claimed two wickets.

He’s so loose in everything he does, and I mean loose in a very positive way. He’s so fluid. In terms of his bowling, we just need to keep developing his strategies for how to get batsmen out. He’s one of those rare players you don’t want to see tampered with too much. Justin Langer
