Garage bat comes up trumps for Healy
Dynamic Sydney Sixers batter Alyssa Healy is happy to claim an un-named bat as her own rather than one belonging to husband Mitchell Starc, after winning a couple of player-of-the-match awards with the piece of willow.
The bat is poised to get another outing in Saturday's Rebel Women's Big Bash League derby between Sixers and Thunder at the SCG.
Using the bat, Healy scored 55 off 38 balls in this season's first Sydney WBBL derby and 46 off 31 against Perth Scorchers, each time taking out the player of the match award.
Starc had originally joked on social media the bat belonged to him, but the true story is a little different according to Healy.

"I'm not sure it is his bat, but I found it in the garage, it was not named,' Healy said on Wednesday.
"I thought I'd take it out there and I used it for the first time at Spotless Stadium (for the first derby) and it came off alright.
"Then the games I haven't used it in between I haven't gone so great, so everyone might see it on the weekend."

Healy has featured in four half-century opening stands with Sixers captain and Australian teammate Ellyse Perry through the tournament.
The Sixers lead the ladder and defending champions Thunder are sixth, but just two points off fourth.
Prior to that match the Sixers play second-placed Hobart Hurricanes at North Sydney Oval on Friday evening.
