Crash the Bash to bring young fans closer than ever to the KFC BBL and Rebel WBBL

The KFC Big Bash League today announced a new partnership with Nickelodeon, which will see the launch of a new BBL and WBBL children's television show this summer.

The announcement came on the eve of the release of tickets for BBL|06, which go on sale tomorrow, October 7.

Now one of the dominant features of the cricket summer's landscape, the Big Bash has firmly established itself as a staple form of entertainment among Australian families.

The BBL|06 season is expected to be bigger and better than ever, covering the Christmas school holiday block from December 20 to January 28, while the second edition of the Rebel Women's Big Bash League will be launched with a free, carnival-style opening weekend on December 10-11 at North Sydney Oval.

This summer, the entertainment will extend from the cricket field to children's television, with Crash The Bash to be produced collaboratively by Network Ten and Nickelodeon and premiere on TEN on Saturday, December 24.

BBL as you've never seen it before

Following its broadcast on TEN, content from Crash The Bash will be shown throughout the week on Nickelodeon, as well as across digital platforms.

Nickelodeon will also be at matches throughout BBL|06 as well as the opening weekend of WBBL|02.

"We are very excited to be partnering with Nickelodeon for the sixth season of the KFC Big Bash League," Cricket Australia Head of the Big Bash League Anthony Everard said.

"Nickelodeon is known around the world as one of the most fun and entertaining brands and we can’t wait for them to be a part of the BBL experience for our fans.

"The BBL was a huge hit with families last summer because of the fast-paced on-field action and family friendly atmosphere at every match, and I am sure that BBL|06 will take things to the next level, thanks to our partnership with Nickelodeon.

"Fans will also be treated to new levels of excitement and action on field throughout the season thanks to the huge number of world-class cricketers set to take part in BBL|06, making every match an unmissable event."

Fans will also have the chance to win a family trip to Nickelodeon Land at Sea World on the Gold Coast by attending one of their BBL Club's nominated matches, as well as the chance to win a trip to the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

Adult tickets to BBL|06 start from $20, kids tickets from $5, and family tickets from $42.50. More HERE.
