Highest total: 9-138

WBBL|03 season highlights: Hurricanes

Best individual bowling figures: Veronica Pyke, 4-17 v Strikers

Highlights: After nine losses to start the season, the Hurricanes finally claimed their first win against the Renegades in Hobart - incredibly, by a margin of 10 wickets. They also finished their season on a winning note, upsetting the Stars at the MCG by two runs.

Hayley Matthews highlights: WBBL|03

Bowling ace: Nicola Hancock took 11 wickets, four more than her nearest Hurricanes teammate and also managed the best average (25.54) and economy rate (6.48) for the Hurricanes squad.

Batting star: Isobel Joyce only came into the tournament late as a replacement for Lauren Winfield but she was like a breath of fresh air into a struggling campaign. She scored 99 runs in five innings at 24.75 including 52no - one of only two half-centuries scored by Hobart players this season. The experienced Ireland player also took over the captaincy with aplomb.

What they need for WBBL|04: International star power. The Hurricanes were hurt badly by the losses of Amy Satterthwaite and Heather Knight and while Hayley Matthews is a star on the rise, she needs support. Neither Lauren Winfield or Veda Krishnamurthy were able to set the tournament a light in WBBL|03, but the Hurricanes could regain Knight, who sat out to manage a foot injury, If they can snare an Australian or two with international experience as well, even better.

In a nutshell: It was never going to be easy for the Hurricanes in WBBL|03 after losing Erin Burns, Satterthwaite and Knight. They picked up a couple of handy wins throughout the season and players including Georgia Redmayne produced some promising performances.
