ScorecardHealy brilliance guides Sixers back to top
The Sydney Sixers are setting themselves up to storm into finals after a brilliant showing against Adelaide Strikers at Hurstville Oval.
The Sixers returned to the top of the Rebel WBBL ladder courtesy of the seven-wicket win on Saturday, led by a brilliant innings from Alyssa Healy.
The home team was chasing 150 for victory after Sophie Devine (70 off 45) set the foundations for a strong Strikers total, but with Healy posting her highest score in the WBBL, they chased the target down with four balls to spare.
The Sixers looked set for a more comfortable victory, but when Healy was eventually stumped out by Tegan McPharlin off Amanda-Jade Wellington's bowling, the scoring rate slowed down significantly.
Sarah Coyte was brilliant in her first WBBL game after coming out of retirement, snaring 2-14 off four overs.
The Strikers won the toss and chose to bat first against the Sixers.
