Malinga Monday: Sri Lankan star rips through the Scorchers

It was a spell of bowling for the history books. Lasith Malinga steaming in and delivering thunderbolts to the unsuspecting Perth Scorchers batsmen.

The WACA was silenced as Malinga claimed an incredible 6-7 and guided the Melbourne Stars to victory.

AJ Tye Tuesday: Perth quick records ANOTHER hat-trick

Known for his deceiving variation and impressive array of deliveries, Andrew Tye capped off a remarkable 2017 by claiming a third hat-trick of the year at the SCG against the Sydney Sixers.

Tye snared the wickets of Sean Abbott, Steve O’Keefe and Daniel Sams to secure the third hat-trick in BBL history.

Weatherald Wednesday: A huge century in the biggest game of all

Young Adelaide Strikers batsman Jake Weatherald waited until the biggest game of BBL|07 to record the most impressive performance of his career.

In front of a capacity Adelaide Oval, Weatherald belted 115 from 70 balls to guide the Strikers to an unassailable 2-202 in the Big Bash Final.



Fawad Friday: The ‘fountain of youth’ stuns with direct hit run-out

At the ripe old age of 36, Fawad Ahmed shocked opponents and teammates alike in BBL|08, when he sharply gathered a ball and threw down the stumps to run-out the Perth Scorchers’ Hilton Cartwright.

The look on his face implied even Fawad was impressed with his own work, as he was mobbed by his fellow Sydney Thunder fielders.
